Program Description

Young children and their caregivers are invited to join Ms. Jess for an introduction to Baby Doll Circle Time followed by social play.

Using curriculum developed by Conscious Discipline's Dr. Becky Bailey, Baby Doll Circle Time helps to form more caring relationships between a child and their caregiver. Each week, we will learn social games and loving interactions that can be replicated at home for you to re-experience loving connections over and over again, helping to optimize your child's development.

We will begin with 10-15 minutes of Baby Doll Circle Time, then spend the remaining 35-45 minutes of the program for unstructured play, allowing caregivers to practice the attached, attuned, and playful relationships encouraged by Dr. Bailey's curriculum.

A variety of multi-ethnic baby dolls will be provided for the first 15 children to use during Baby Doll Circle Time. You are welcome to bring your own doll from home (plastic preferred over cloth/stuffed animals), if preferred. Content is geared for children ages 15 months to age 4 and their caregivers; younger siblings and older preschoolers are welcome to attend.

This event is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
