Program Description

Join us for our Families Like Mine Storytime, as we celebrate the richness of diversity in our community!  This monthly Saturday storytime will feature special guest readers from the local community.  

Leslie was born in Missouri and adopted at the age of 11 months old. She came to St. Joseph to attend college at MWSU. She has a daughter age 23, and girl/boy twins, age 17. She is active in her church praise team, sings backup in a classic rock band, and is hired to solo in weddings and funerals. One of her proudest moments in her singing career was having the lead in Sister Act the Musical at the Missouri Theater in 2019. Leslie is a Social Justice and Outreach Director for the YWCA St. Joseph and is passionate about racial justice.
