Program Description

Program Description

Join us on our next Literary Adventure!

Did you know the least counted demographic during the census is those ages 0-5? It is important that EVERYONE get counted, "because, after all, a person's a person, no matter how small" (quote by Dr. Seuss from Horton Hears a Who). It matters because Census numbers affect funding for many programs for the next 10 years!

Therefore, we will have a special guest from the local Census Bureau to help parents fill out the Census while the kids go on a literary adventure to explore counting in the neighborhood.

We will take a trip "Around the Neighborhood" as we read from Sarah L. Thompson's picture book. We will sing and hum along to this new version of the classic lullaby "Over in the Meadow" and then play a movement game of animal identification and counting.

Best for ages 1-5.
